- What is AAU?
AAU stands for the Amatuer Athletic Union. AAU Baseball is premiere travel baseball. AAU holds regional
and national tournaments.
2. How can my player make the team?
Players must attend a tryout. Players will be evaluated by the coaching staff and a decision will be made
based on the players performance, mechanics, and attitude. We seek players that will fit in with the team
and believe in commitment and dedication to their teammates. Players will be expected to engage in a
charity event or comunity service as a team.
3. Can I play in my local league and AAU?
The Mass Stars believes the more baseball you play the better. We are committed to working with your
local league. We wish to complement local leagues and not to replace them. Most leagues are open to
their players playing AAU.
4. What is the cost?
We are non profit club. By being non profit we can offer the same and sometimes more than other AAU
clubs at a fraction of the cost of other clubs. We are supported by parents, sponsors, and fundraising. All
monies raised by individual players goes to the cost of their tuition. All excess money raised is divided
amongst the other players. Players receive a full home and away uniform, club t-shirt, equipment bag, club
jacket, 24 indoor practices, outdoor practices, 30 game minimium season, and an off season training guide
developed exclusively for the Massachusetts Stars by a Major League Baseball Trainer.
5. Where do the Mass Stars play?
The Mass Stars will play mostly on the South Shore and will travel to play teams in Eastern Massachusetts
and may play in the other New England States.
6. Will the Mass Stars travel out of state for tournaments?
Travel to out of state tournaments will be decided by a vote of the team parents. |
